This month is Black History Month. It's an excellent time to listen and learn about the history of Black folks in Canada and all over the world. The important thing is to continue to listen, learn and grow, not just in February, but all year.

The Trucker Protest

- I have literally been glued to social and traditional media, watching this, as events continue to unfold in Ottawa. Prime Minister Trudeau has COVID-19 but addressed the media yesterday saying they will not be intimidated and urging folks to get vaccinated. There is also a blockade in Coutts, Alberta, a border town between Canada and the U.S.

.These two protests are still being linked to vaccine mandates for truckers crossing the Canada-U.S. border but it has also been said publicly that they want ALL mandates removed.

2. Also in Ottawa, there's trouble in the

Conservative Party of Canada

. Party members are looking to oust current leader Erin O'Toole.
