[Re-sent] August 10 Newsletter

The only news you’ll need this week! 🎯

Clearing a New Path™ and Clearing a New Path Podcast™ are products of Radar Media, located in Dorchester, Ontario on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Neutral peoples who once used this land as their traditional beaver hunting grounds.  As a settler here I’m committed to deepening understanding of Indigenous communities and reframing responsibilities to land and community. I am grateful to Mother Earth for the opportunity for love and connection and to the spirits of the Elders and the Medicine People who still walk the Earth.

For the next few weeks I'm going to highlight previous podcast episodes (and guests) that were some of the most listened to and the most impactful, starting with Stella Sehn from Sweet Pure Honey, a bee farm Stella and her husband Sheldon own and operate in Porcupine Plains, Saskatchewan.Be sure to scroll down to find out the latest with Stella and Sheldon.

WHAT'S HAPPENED SINCE THE EPISODE?

“COVID definitely brought it to (light). For me personally, in that moment the first time I was feeling suicidal in a real sense, you’re thinking that’s probably not a real good idea, but that real hopeless feeling I was stuck with at that time – I was at rock bottom. I could totally relate to what the victims were maybe thinking. The hopelessness and feeling that your loved ones would be better off without you or just holding down whatever that sense is.”

manages retail distribution of the company’s signature raw white honey, as well as beeswax products such as candles, lip balm, wax cling-wrap and soap.

"“At one point we were wondering, ‘Why are we doing this anymore? Why have we gone through all this work and all this time?'” Hill admitted. “So we were really questioning (if) we should maybe just quit because we were getting tired. But then we realized, there are people out there who appreciate what we do.”The couple was also featured on Food Power TV's premiere episode with Matt Astorga. (It's a must watch!)

What is Buy Me A Coffee? Buy Me a Coffee is a crowdfunding company that lets independent creators collect donations or financial contributions from supporters. There are two options - which do I select? On the podcast and newsletter Buy Me a Coffee page you can choose two options: ‘membership’ or ‘support’. Support is a one time contribution and Membership is a monthly contribution to a membership community. I'm building some special membership perks while I step away for a little bit and I'll share more on that in the coming weeks!

Clearing a New Path Podcast™ and this newsletter are both supported by Xplornet Enterprise Solutions

Our town halls are supported by the Canadian Women's Chamber of Commerce.
